Pavol Hauptvogel and René Hauptvogel, representing the ECOBREED’s partner National and Agricultural Food Centre (NPPC), explained why it is important to save the genetic diversity for agriculture. The genetic diversity of Slovak agriculture, stored in the Gene Bank of the Slovak Republic, is already protected in the global seed vault for failure in natural or human-made disasters in Norway. Among the samples are also wheat varieties examined within the ECOBREED project.
