The Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops (IFVC) is organizing Field Day of the small grains, forage crops and oilseed rape at Rimski Šančevi in Serbia on the 17th of June. The month of June is the right time to assess the condition of crops, forecast expected yields and get advice from experts. Moreover, the field day is a good opportunity to talk about the international projects IFVC is involved in. IFVC researchers will present the project and its activities to farmers. On this occasion, PhD Bojan Jockovic will inform and promote the Farmer Participatory trials under WP6 and the related ongoing activities on the wheat trial in Rimski Šančevi. Growers involved in organic wheat production will receive information on cultivation technologies and selection of the right variety for organic production, as well as how to deal with challenges. Producers are also invited to visit our WP6 farmers, who are willing to share their experience in organic wheat cultivation.
